Just the thought makes me giggle!
Who doesn’t love bubbles!
I’ve always been delighted by them and never see one without smiling.
Then, never dreaming how much more magical, with the power to make me smile even more, until I watched my children jump and laugh in delight at the simple, illusive wonders.
And now, I get to frolic in them with my grandkids – and giggle all the more.
I’m never without them! Just bring on the bubbles to create a magical place where there is no boredom, no fussing, no tiredness, and where everything feels possible.
Then there’s the effervescence of sunflowers. The bright yellow beams that seem to be an offshoot of the sun itself!
It’s not their beauty that makes us smile and feel the way they touch our heart. An orchid could be described with amazing beauty, but it’s the magical way sunflowers light us up.
It’s why my tag line is Let Your Glow Show!
They were also my daughter’s favorite flower. Any one who knew her would describe her as that kind of magical soul.
You couldn’t be around her without feeling her piercing light. She would make you smile the same way sunflowers and bubbles would. Her bedroom was even decorated in them.
Obviously, her favorite flower became mine too.
Not long after her passing, my special friend called me and said, “Be ready, I’m picking you up. We’re going somewhere!”
“What? Where?” I said.
Her playful tone told me she was up to something, so I said, “Oh kaaaay.”
In minutes, we were driving back roads in the middle of nowhere. I said, “if you weren’t my best friend, I would be very suspicious where this is going.”
She laughed, then finally pointed and said, “look over there.”
Ahead, to my right, I was awestruck by the most massive, sunlit field of sunflowers the size of plates, all their faces bent toward the sun
I laughed and cried simultaneously in the magic of it all! We frolicked and snapped pictures like little girls.
This experience was both one of the most magical, and one of the most treasured gifts I ever received.
My daughter’s favorites: Sunflowers and Bubbles. So you can see why this picture struck me so powerfully and sparks all the love, magic and light, touching places in my heart that hurt so bad and feel so good!
