I’ve noticed something.  It has stood out to me over time and has increasingly intensified.

Have you noticed the levels of confusion and chaos that has sprouted doubt about what we believe, especially concerning boundaries?  Every day I witness more and more people struggling with the need and the how, to draw clear boundaries and stand in their truth, and the strength to recognize manipulation and even narcissism.  Whew! and a lot of it.

It’s the overwhelming issue lying at the root of conversations and interactions with people.  There are many different things that have resulted in this culmination at this time in our lives, but suffice it to say I personally sense a strong battle for the human soul.

Here is the soul-grounding truth:  When we have clear boundaries, it dispels the stuck place of questioning, doubting, even shaming ourselves.  Being clear on personal boundaries separates us from the soul-draining drama and allows us to be clear on what brings us joy and what brings pain and disturbance.  That, my friend is the life of a healthy mind, body and soul.

The sad truth is that all of our minds have been manipulated to completely misinterpret what boundaries and soul/self-care really are.  Our souls have been undermined which means we hand over our knowing, our intuition to the control of another.

When you really think about that, it sure sounds and feels like a type of self mutilation.  Hmmm, and I’m reminded that what goes on in the spiritual is mirrored in the natural.

In simple terms, I only need ask, why is it that when something hits us as a little off, you know, it just doesn’t feel right, why do we always question ourselves?  Why isn’t it okay to question a situation or someone else’s words or actions?

By not questioning, we allow what isn’t setting with us to cross the line, come on in.  And that, my friend is what confuses and erases our boundaries and opens us up to outside control and whatever else.

Here’s a simple question we can always ask to keep our boundaries secure.  Who says?  To all the “shoulds,”claims of “truth” or triggering buzz words – Who says?

By asking that question in response to anything we hear, anything we read, dispels the confusion, chaos, fear and shame eating away at our boundaries.  Our souls are not food for the hungry lies and narcissism raging for control.

I assure you, clear boundaries = healthy soul.
