Do you believe that?  No really?  Is that your heart and experience?

I’m just gonna put it out there – I’m often found wondering where it is.  What about you?  We live in a world that seemingly is bereft of any goodness or loving kindness.  It’s so easy to settle into a dark place of pessimism concerning whether it really exists anymore.

A looming reason has mostly to do with the disconnection with each other as we hurriedly walk through our day, most people focused on problems and obstacles draining energy from our lives – and they’re real.  And of course, the broadcasting of the horrendous hate in our world definitely doesn’t help.  And then there’s the intensified fear that is a real trap.

The truth is, goodness is always abundant, kinda like the sun, but we’re being hooked like a fish to focus on everything but.  This became so abundantly clear to me when I recently had the opportunity to be a part of the brand new book…

GOODNESS ABOUNDS

I feel very strongly that this is one of the most timely books for our world that I’ve ever come across.  It has been a bonk-on-the head wakeup call that Goodness is a magnificent truth of life, and it made me question why we so easily dismiss it and choose to drown in all the confusion, pain and exhaustion of all the difficult realities of life.

My contribution the book presents the wonder, brightness and loving kindness gifted me, an experience that for sure left a life-long branding of love on my heart.

It’s called Sunflower Magic and I hope you enjoy this excerpt.

The one-year anniversary of losing my daughter, Christina Faith, 10 days before her 21st birthday was nearing, and occupying many of my thoughts. We called her Tina.  I was simply trying to get through another day living this life without her, when I got a call from Pam – my dear friend who had been there for me every step of this excruciating journey. She said she was picking me up after she got off work.

“What…? Why…? Where…?”

My questions were answered with only, “We’re going somewhere,” in the familiar up-to-something tone.

This forced my smile. “Okay.”

Riding to our mystery destination, I felt a bit giddy for the first time in a very long time. Our chuckles sprang spontaneously. As we drove down the back roads, I looked at her and said, “If you weren’t my best friend, I would be very afraid.” She laughed and slyly proceeded.

She said, “Look over there.”

I saw nothing.

She pointed, “Look!”

Rounding a bend in the road, my eyes, heart, and entire being were awed by the sight of never-ending sunflowers. Gasping in wonder, tears sprung to my eyes. If ever I’d felt fairy dust…

This timely book will prove and reveal just how much goodness abounds all around you and how it can change your life and those you love and even the world.

It will be an investment you won’t regret, an investment into the goodness in the world and in your life.

You can get it here.  And why not consider extra copies as gifts, a gift hard to beat as an investment into the life of someone special.  I know you’re thinking of someone right now.

With abounding Goodness,

Ruthie
